Re: Maybe I'll call it Threedom?
Problem is that link points to all GL1200 front fenders. Your question was whether a GL1100 fender would fit.

Does a fork brace matter on a trike? Not sure a brace is very effective on a fork that does not lean?LikeMike64 wrote:Yes, it will mount. I mounted on on my '76. It will not allow you to use fork brace, however.

So for you then maybe a 1200 fender at the right price would work just fine.

Look out Dean; Cliff has designs on your fender!!
I do not know if a 1200 fender will work on a 1000. Perhaps one of the gurus here knows.

Re: Maybe I'll call it Threedom?
To gltriker and Fred Camper,
I'm trying to figger out what I need to do to get all the build pictures to one place....Kodak Gallery, Photobucket, etc., so YOU All can see the Blue Beast (GL1200 trike) and the Red Trike (GL650 trike). Computer work is not my "thing", probably better if I get a grandkid to do that!!! Maybe gltriker can upload the final product picture (GL1200) for youse??? Mmm??
gltriker saw a few of the pics as I e-mailed a few to him. He gave me more credit than I deserve.

Re: Maybe I'll call it Threedom?
Hey....great going Cliff, the pictures look great!!
The Blue Beast picture was taken very soon after completion and I found a few things that needed to be changed. Mostly had to raise the rear shock mounting eyelet about 2 more inches. This gave a lot more clearance between tire/body as "we" found out by driving some our great PA roads.
Also cleaned up some of those "hanging tubes/hoses" but overall it was done. In this picture the "blue paint" looks really "light" in color not the true good color baby blue.
Doing a little thinking and measuring right now for the Red Trike. Gotta change some of the lighting (running/turn/stop) as they are "just a little" too low for some lights and not as bright as I want. Gonna change to some LED's to save some wattage but after researching on another forum...I might put a GL1100 stator in the engine to get a lot more wattage than the stock Honda GL650 V-twin has at this point. Might get to that over the winter months..just not sure. I only done a little tinkering at this point...still want to work on the electrics overall (coils/wires/maybe stator) and change my starter for another that came with the bike and then maybe take a peek at those carbs. This might keep me busy over the next couple months.

Wow, love the red GL650. It has a great look. The tank is sweet.
