Len's calipers showed up (cheers again Len) and I think I'm back in business. Gave the piston in one a good soak in PB Blaster for a few days and the thing popped out with some compressed air despite the odds. A little bit of corrosion was left in the pot after removing the rusty piston but mainly above the rubber seal, below it the bore cleaned up pretty good -

Cleaned up, rebuilt with BrakeCrafters rebuild kits and back on the bike. Thanks again to Len for sending me these calipers, I'm very grateful

I'm really not sure that I can continue to be friends with someone who keeps their project bike and garage looking like yours. Just the same, thanks for the kind words.
