New head gaskets and valve stem seals and such should be here Tuesday. I have run it and run it and run it in the shop and feel really good about this engine so far. I think I will probably leave it in the current bike while I do the heads then pull it and do all the other seals and paint etc.

Ha ha ha ha!!! This one will be slow. First I got to do the heads, then all the seals, then clean and paint, then I have got a lot of stuff to transfer over to the new engine from the old one. So I may set a record for me and take several days. A Lot depends on the Son In Law and how much entertaining I have to do with him. His "Terminal Leave" actually started so now he does not even have to go to the Base at all except to use the gym.

Hows that youngster of yours doing? Man, he won't be such a youngster any more; must be about 15 /16 now?

In case any one is wondering, I refer to his grandson :-D

Real nice kid too; he impressed me when I met him in 2010. Even gave him my Scotland cap. He HAS grown a bit since then!

Yea he is a good guy. Not naturally the smartest or the most athletic but he tries hard on both accounts. He has a Huge heart and that is what counts.

The 77 is all gone. Stripped her down to parade rest today and the frame is out to the street. Got the engine scrubbed and up on the work table.

Your titling systems must be the single most reason for good machines to be scrapped. On the various forums, I reckon I must read of at least one every couple of weeks that can't be used because of that particular State's regulations. Crazy situation.
