Hi Dougal, let's make a deal. You place your 4 cylinder Wing in the registry and tell your friends to do the same and I'll forward that info to you. After all, you were one of the ones that mentioned the criminal intent and I don't want to be the guy that gives you the key to all of our bikes.
Just disguise your VIN in the case that you know you may be driving a hot bike, but, try to fill us in on the rest of the details on your four cylinder Wing please.
In just one day the registry has grown from 4 to over 100 hundred.
Sorry mate not a chance. I am naturally a very suspicious person. I would not vounteer details like VIN numbers wether in whole or in part, with other details that match my bike.
I suppose one of my 1100's could have been stolen at some time as I only haveits history for the last 10-12 years. The other one however has been owned by myself since I brought it new in 1980,so the likley hoodof that one being hot is nil, unless it was stolen from the Honda factory in Japan.
Sussed out the bit about VIN numbers being available on teh net. They are actually available in Honda Parts books as well. Not matched to amy other detail likecolour and where they are in teh world though.

They say WHY?, I say why not.
If God had intended motor cycles to be standard, he would'nt have given us the hacksaw.
Now you're making me worry Dougal. LOL It is said that a person's outward attitude reflects their inward intentions. Don't know if that's true or not and you are probably a very nice and truly honest fellow, but, my suspicions have been aroused by your suspicions so the deal is off and I cannot give you the internet url to the site that has all the Gold Wing VIN's for fear that you may possibly use them for your own selfish purposes and not help others in the four cylinder Gold Wing world.
Someday I may relent, but, for today only I must take a stand against suspicious suspicions before they suspiciously make me feel any more suspcious about my suspicions even though they may be only false suspicions.
Actually, I'll send the URL for the VIN info along later. I suspect that this will be OK with you?
The sitemight be handy, but as I have an upto date electrnic copy of both the Honda America and the Honda UK microfishe, this already has VIN details of most Hondas on it.
Before anyone asks it is not worth copying the American disc as you need a dongle (security device) to read it. Also the UK version is not a lot of use to members of this site as it only covers Hondas from 1988.
As for me being suspisious,Imay be doing soemone a dis ervice, but in modern times it is easy enough to obtain infoon people and items, with out giving it out when notre quired to do so.
