Nice work there Try ; thats something I've never done is see a stock GL trailer hitch unit , or I probably would have taken the idea from that style . A few of us had planned a trip for the following weekend , and before that weekend I had to come up with a hitch fast , and not having any access to a pic of a stock unit I through togather what I made . Now I don't meen to say that the pic you have up there is . Looks very practical , please let me know or I'll be whatching here how it turns out , I may restyle another hitch accordingly . Thanks . Later Gents.

Hi Try, I was looking at your hitch design, it look pretty much like the OEM saddlebags frame who his fairly strong. If you go with that design I will still suggest you to add two vertical bar attach from the far side of the hitch (after the last joint) ( pretty much like Zryder did)and the upper frame, those will be to support the weight, I manufacture lot of trailer for different motorcycle and it's the best way to do it for being safe. The link I include is the hitch I manufacture for the GL1200, unfortunatly he doesn't fit the standard unless you have OEM saddlebags.

Hi Try, we have trailers like that over here also and they are meant to be pulled behind a bicycle. I don't know if I would want to tow it behind a Wing because the tires may not endure the speed and the cornering the Wing might put it through, especially if you have any kind of load in it.
Might work for you, but, I wouldn't be hauling large quantities of eggs on my first test drive with it.
Vic

You're right Vic, this is my bicycle trailer, but I got some ideas.Victorious1 wrote:Hi Try, we have trailers like that over here also and they are meant to be pulled behind a bicycle.

I know some Harley bikers, they use this type of trailer.Victorious1 wrote: I don't know if I would want to tow it behind a Wing because the tires may not endure the speed and the cornering the Wing might put it through, especially if you have any kind of load in it.

As Zryder says, with more solid hardware I think this could be pretty cool.
