I found some great stuff for doing 'things' with that don't have anything else to do them with, if you see what I mean.

Electricians use this. Its a rubbery tape that is not sticky but bonds to itself;
self-amalgamating or self fusing tape.

The state my rear brake linkage was in when I got the old heap had to be seen to be believed, so I wanted to make sure that didn't happen again.
It looks like tape but when pressed hard together it becomes one piece. Its some sort of rubber material and stretchy.

The brake pedal has had the pivot hole each side chamfered and a thin rubber 'O' ring inserted to seal out any water. The assembly can be quite tight to keep out the muck as long as its lubed properly because the big spring has more than enough pressure to return the pedal.

All connection had some corrosion , some more than others as well as broken connectors, bare wires etc. after doing all that work to put the harness right I thought this might help keep it that way.

Thats not rust you see, by the way; it's copper based grease.

I know you guys have a lot of corrosion issues since I used to work on London Taxis and owned one corroded one myself. Anything you can do to reduce it may help. Hampster and I were both surprised by the amount of corrosion in our rear masters and I live in CA.

These were taken before I move it down to the garage.
Down?
Yup! I was building this in a first floor flat in my spare room!

You all guessed. Yeah, I live on my own

This was just at the start of assembly. You can just see one bit of the sealed up frame.

As much as I could do before shifting it down, due to the weight.

That's looking brilliant. Glad you got the camera/pc sorted out. Those are some inspiring shots.

Keep up the good work!

OK, let's get this straight. you are going to have it on the ground floor when you put the heavy stuff in and not be like those guys that build cabin cruisers in their basements right?

The pics with the blue wallpaper were taken in the spare room of the flat which is one floor up.

The ones in the wooden building are in my garage next to the flat.

I actually videoed myself going up stairs and into the room with the bike because folk didn't believe me but at 33Mb its too big to post amd I don't know how to reduce the size of it.

No basement! :-D
