Basically the ideal is a clean burning ( no deposits) with a light brown color. Black or white is not good. Mine are running a really really light brown almost white.

I shimmed the needles and I broke one of my rules about not changing two things at once but felt the risk was worth it. So I swapped out the Slide springs with 75 springs. Between those 2 changes she is a LOT better. I got out for about 40 miles this morning and the throttle response is much improved. Still just a hair of a drop in the pull between 3 and 4 thousand but she runs through it and once she hit 4 or better she pulls hard again.
I think that is enough for now. The plug color is again slightly improved but it really needs some miles before I call it done.
The next thing is to tear apart the back end and fix those frame cracks and pull the gas tank and clean it. Pretty sure I am not going to coat it just want to make sure I get any loose stuff out of it.
