Thanks. I wasn't sure if I'd like it,but it works. I need some kind of rubber edging for the ' flaps' so paint won't chip on assembly. I'm pondering making fiberglass bags that follow the line of the fender, but not sure about pipes yet. May run 4 straights just to be different.

Auto door edge guards might work, and are pretty flat. Small diameter vacuum hose sliced length - wise would work, as well, but I'm not sure about the 'round' look...

Ok,just my opinion,BUT...nobody does it better than the factory. They use talented engineers to make machines last. The problem is,they can't give each of us what we want,so it's an average to please most. I'm no engineer,so in the case of mounting this fender,I used the same 8mmx1.25 hardware. The new 'factory customs' like the VTX are sweet. My '77 didn't get the lovin those do,so I'm doing it myself, with factory mindset,if that makes sense. I agree with the vacuum line being too round, but I'm not seeing the auto edging in black rubber, only plastic! Augh! Frustrations...I guess what I'm trying to do here is make something 'full-figured' and sexy out of a freight train. Heavy cruisers with nice lines, yet distinctly unharley by it's boxer motor.honestly,I LOVE this big ugly whale, she just needs some spike heels and a little magic. The turn signal mounts are going on shortly. Found these lights at a reasonable price.
