If it were me, I would pick the first and paint them to match your front wheel.

Thats a tough call. I like them both. But like Marc I would paint whichever ones you get to match the front wheel.

They are both nice wheels and will look good on the trike but I'd pick the AR883 simply because without the slot they're easier to clean. My wife has slotted rear wheels similar to the second set on her trike and getting the brake dust out between the slots is a pain. Its also dangerous as the backside has a sharp edge and I've cut myself a couple of times cleaning them.

Dean's got a good point, and I like the 883 because it's simple.

AR883.Strip and polish the front wheel to match the new rears. The blue just looks hokei to me.JMO.

Funny thing about colors. Ad a color to something and everybody will have an opinion.

Being in the home improvement business I am often asked to choose colors for my customers. I start off by saying the only color I am aware off that none will have an opinion on is the color white. Choose any other color and someone will either love it or hate it . And unless you are willing to color coordinate the entire job, choose a color that will not lend an opinion. Aluminum like the color white, lend itself to be opinion free,until the time calls for total color cordination.. IMO.

Either is not a bad choice. Somehow the dual spoke 887 seems to go with the Lester dual webs better but not really a big deal.

Unless I missed it, it’s hard to recommend a color or suggest an idea for the front fender unless I knew what the plans were for rear fenders.
If the rear was going to be Fender less, than just do away with the front fender as well until you decide what you want as a total package. Just a thot.

Nothing wrong with flat black on the front fender, the tire is black anyway and a flat black fender just kind of blends in.

I have the same front fender on my '75. I like it the way it is. But really it would depend on what you are going to with the rear fender. It would be nice if they matched.
