Pretty sure it is the Starter. New ORing is on order along with valve cover gaskets. Hopefully it will come in this week and I can take care of it before my next trip. Pretty tight in there so will probably have to drop the exhaust. Should have thought to order new crush rings for that. Hopefull my local dealer will have those

Pieces parts! Soon as it drops below 100 degrees in the shop I will think about doing some work!

Well made that leak worse!! One of the valve cover screw bolts was stripped. Fresh out of thread repairs. Have to wait a few days.

Threads in the head. I ran a die over the screw and it was fine. Found my repair kit as I was walking out of the Garage but lost my motivation for the day. See what tomorrow brings. Should only take a couple minutes to pop it off and fix. Probably spend more time figuring out how not to put drill shavings in the engine than anything else. Maybe just tape the hose of the shopvac right there

Well, at least the bolt wasn't broken off in the head...

Did you check the side frame? That side stand angle looks all wrong!

I have never seen stripped out valve cover bolt threads before.
I always figured it was because the bolts are shouldered and can only be tightened so much before breaking.
(I have seen that happen, I have done that!)

Possibly it was cross threaded in the past and weakened the threads, that's really the only thing I can think of.
However it happened, It should be a pretty easy fix with the right insert.

I think I did. :-? :-? Will check it again. I know the stand is very loose and needs tightened.

Mostly been working in the yard as we had a few days or reasonable temps and humidity. Put out a 1/2 yard of Top soil trying to fill some of the holes my gopher dog made and did some dramatic trimming of some fruit trees. Still need to finish cleaning that up.

I did manage to get the 1200 up on the table so should I get in a mood to do something she is ready to go. Have stuff tomorrow and Friday so maybe Saturday
