Re: OIL CONTAMINATED
Ya, found several on e-bay. But they are designed for cars, of course, so mounting and the length of tubes etc. have to be a concern

Re: OIL CONTAMINATED
Thread size and pitch could be an issue too. All a guy can do is try one and do a return if its not doable.

Cyborg, can’t seem to find the extra kit I bought for mine but the numbers on the one on the bike sent me to Amazon and p/n RAF-9+SW-Kit,,it’s all about $25 there.. That said mine is a straight blade unit so a curved blade unit (also available ) may run a bit quieter.. A 10” unit could probably be fitted as well.

Re: OIL CONTAMINATED
Update on the advancer. the ends of the springs were stretched a lot and the weights had a lot of free play. I tweaked the loops till the slop was gone and redid the timing. It sat on the lift well over 15 minutes and the tach was rock steady with not one episode of run away RPMs.
Then i screwed the pooch. I went to get new screws as the ones that were on it were rather chewed up. I undid a screw from the subplate not realizing i had taken the other one with me to get the new ones.. yup the plate moved out of position. I just replaced the other ones and came home pretty disgusted with myself. So now i gotta redo timing for the umpteenth time. BUT i know the hanging idle and runaway RPMs are gone. Small victory. Followed by a small defeat.

Re: OIL CONTAMINATED
Been checking shop talk and gurus corner but cant find anything specifically about how to test the condenser.
What the setting on my multimeter to use and whats the procedures? Im assuming you do the test on both leads from the condenser??
