I didn't find the overflow outlet being at the wrong angle a big problem. Cutting and welding just isn't worth the trouble in my opinion. Another option might be to cut and plug the existing outlet tube, then add a new outlet tube at the correct location. You could easily drill and tap a new hole and use some high temp epoxy sealant instead of welding on the new tube. Aluminum solder also might work.

Yes, that is probably the easier option if getting to the radiator cap isn't a problem. After all, how often do you need to do that?

You will be able to get to the cap just fine. It is in the same place.

Re: 4 rows aluminum radiator for GL1000
So Cedric,, what do you think about that radiator now that you’ve had it for a while ? It sure is a much cheaper than the one I had built, I have no complaints on mine other than it was a bit of a challenge to fit but not impossible but it was over $300 vs the $150 of that one…. I will add that my 76 overheated at the drop of a hat but I figured that it was because of the h-power increases that I made as more power equals more heat & I just figured I went to far but between the new radiator and timing fix’s my 76 just doesn’t overheat anymore.. anyway I think the aluminum radiator is a good fix if it works. Just thinking here

Even though mine developed a tiny leak after about a year, I would recommend it for someone that needs a replacement. The buyer needs to understand that there are some minor changes that have to be made to install it.

Well, it arrived today. Bargain price - I paid £79 $106 inc shipping.
It's going back! The packaging was a total joke, so the 'ears' that hold the rubbers got bent, a couple of the side screws also bent, the welding on parts of it is atrocious. I just filled in the AliExpress return form. Rather disappointed I must say, as at first glance it looked ok, nice and light too.
Oh well, live and learn

I bought one for my 1100 a few months ago, went with one side screw bent and a minor ajustment at a upper mount hole.
Pretty happy with it, despite I didn't made a lot of mileage already.
