Re: 1985 GL1200 Going Naked with Dual Webers
A bunch of time was spent setting up the carbs.
The biggest issue I had to get the throttle plates exactly centered and even.
I can tell you from experience that you need to get that correct first or you will chasing you tail.
You Tube has numerous videos to show you how.

Pretty much calling it done for now.
Still would like to powdercoat the wheels all black and I need to figure out some screens/filter for the carbs.

Forgot some of the wiring images.
Best way for my old eyes is to plot out the color diagrams about 4 foot wide and put them up on a wall.

Cool Bike!
You have put lots of work into it.
How does it sound with the exhaust chopped like that?

Wow! You have really put some effort into this beautiful bike.
I do really appreciate you taking the time to include us in the build process.
How is the rider ergo with the new handlebars?

Bet that is fun! How’s the left knee doing?
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Re: 1985 GL1200 Going Naked with Dual Webers
Really opens up the area under the shelter. Used a flat plate to mount the fuse block
Used the factory turn signal switch by using some small relays to latch on the right/left and then a third to cancel.
Also added a relay to the voltage sense wire going to the regulator/rectifier to prevent over charging
