Others have taken several different tanks and hollowed them out from underneath. I recall one with a VTX tank. It will take some fab skills for them. The Valkyrie tanks will work. Another used a cb750 tank. Lots of options if you can fab. If you go that route, consider a tank that flips up to the rear to work on or access underneath.

I’ve seen Meanstreak tanks and Valkyrie tanks used as top mounted fuel tanks, their tunnels are wide enough to clear the wide frame of Goldwings. Could give you 11gallon capacity.

I long for a 1200 to modify again. My Valk is bulky.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Since it was a modified 1200 shelter the mounting points were all original. The two holes up front were there already so I simply used them for mounting brackets that attach to the frame. That keeps the front half of the shelter from moving around while riding. Most of this was trial and error.

Thanks for the idea on the Valkyrie tank! It took some digging here, but I found a post from 2010 where a member (BeeSharp) was fooling around with it. Link to the post: https://ngwclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... nk#p291585

It looks good, but those Valkyrie tanks are NOT cheap! Was shocked to find a few used on eBay at $200 plus.
