When Your Wing Slides Off the Lift

Good morning Naked friends. This is a "just for fun" post. There's not really a "how to" component here. When it happens and you're by yourself, you just have to figure it out as best you can. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMOwAGVhtY8

I learned early to make sure that a bike is solidly supported whenever even one wheel is removed. I had removed the front wheel of the GS400 and for some reason I was sitting on the ground doing something when it tipped forward off of the centrestand. When it stopped moving I was holding onto the forks to keep it from tipping sideways and the end of one of the fork legs was sitting on my pant leg about 3 or 4 inches from disaster. I was afraid to tilt it enough to get the pant leg free so I was pinned. Fortunately my wife heard me yell and between us we were able to get me free and it back onto the stand.

Except when scrapping a bike I don't think I've ever removed both wheels from a bike at the same time.

Great story. Not only do we survive, we get stuff done.

I think that anyone that does this stuff long enough has been there just glad nobody got hurt !

Len, it looks like wrestling that scooter back up onto the stand gave you quite the workout, glad you’re ok !
