here's even
more I've learned from the trike-
Although I haven't attempted to start trike's engine with any gasoline present in the carburetors during the past 2 1/2 years, it has lent itself to be very useful to help me provide some tested ignition system troubleshooting guidance for several Club members. No, it is not completely assembled at this moment.

In order to be successful to crank and start the trike's engine, without having the shelter frame in place, I purchased a used 1975 GL1000 fuse box assembly from an ebay seller. It performed better than I expected when plugged into trike's wiring harness connector. Yep. It simply dangles down loose on the wiring harness.
After turning the Key Switch ON and the right handlebar "kill" switch to its RUN position , the dash panel oil pressure and neutral gear indicator light bulbs are illuminated and the engine is able to be cranked over with the starter button; additionally, the Dynatek ignition coils and Dyna S system are fully operational, too. Perfect.
A few days after helping Boyce discover his bike's ignition system was affected by a problem in its positive primary wiring supply circuit,
I wondered how well my trike's voltage readings would compare when measured across its AGM battery terminals; then when measured at either of the two
unplugged double female socket primary terminals under the rubber umbrella. I didn't know how to calculate the amount of voltage drop I should reasonably expect through the Dynatek ignition coil primary windings before I started testing though.
Aiming for consistently accurate results, I employed 2 digital multi-meters for the testing session.
Note: trike's ignition coils are powered up directly from the battery through an SPST relay, triggered to turn on by the handlebar RUN switch, black/white wire.
And
The pair of Dynatek 3 ohm ignition coils are not dumbed down with an inline ballast resistor in their positive side primary ignition wiring circuit.

Note: Before starting a testing session, I compared both digital multi-meters' voltage readouts, measured directly and simultaneously across the Yuasa AGM battery terminals.
The difference between the meters was 0.01 dc volts. The 30 years old black OTC meter's test leads (with screw-on alligator clips) were attached directly to the trike's AGM battery terminals.
The rarely used yellow Extech meter's black testing lead was grounded at the trike's negative battery terminal, too.
Keep in mind the pair of Dynatek 3ohm ignition coils' positive primary circuit current is delivered through an SPST relay assembly.

Needless to say, I was surprised and very pleased.
