Charlie at checkered past

#1

Post by CYBORG »

I have to give a shout out to Charlie and his son at Checkered Past in Galesburg Mi. A few weeks back Gord, his brother Greg, and I made a trip down to visit with them. I rode my 78 which was a little suprised to be out of the shop. I lost the front brakes, and when we got there the starter decided to stop working. In spite of a ton of backlog work to do, they dropped everything, and changed my starter. As luck would have it, they had a good used one. Words can not express how much I appreciate the extra effort to help me out. Great couple of guys, and a great shop action1 action1 action1 action1

I remember Checkered Past from back when I was doing a lot of British Bikes.
It's good to see that they are still around.

A small independent shop dedicated to vintage bikes is certainly a tough row to hoe.
That type of shop would never make it around here. They'd go broke as there is just not a market for
the older stuff.

Good for them keeping the old bike lifestyle alive.

They’re up to their ears … can’t keep up with the demand for their services!
