It could definately use lower gearing. Was there a year with lower final drive gearing that would swap over?

Excellent. There was a GEM gearset that you could install in the final drive. Pretty sure it was intended for those that were mounting side cars. Not gospel on the numbers but IIRC it took it from a 3.4-1 to a 3.7-1 final ratio. Kind of hard to find right now but occasionally one shows up.

Looking good! Lower gearing as in the engine is turning to fast, or do you want it to turn a bit faster?
