Steve, what size did you go from\to?

65 to 70 and 125 to 140. This is on the bike with the 4 into 1 header and a unrestricted megaphone type muffler. She was running too lean. I only have about 10 miles on it today but should be able to get out for a good run Sunday and see if it is too much.

Randakk kits arrived yesterday. Today I plan to flush the fuel system in the dressed 1000 then start working on building carbs. I have a 78 and a 75 rack all torn down and cleaned I was just waiting for new rubber stuff to reassemble. Plan is to get the 78 running again and then I can start work on the spare 75 rack. Too cold to ride today but supposed to be nice tomorrow.

Built up the Fulmer bike's carbs today. Remembered I had a glitch in the throttle cable function and discovered a bad return cable. Need to order that. Having a bit of an issue finding a 55 inch push cable. Motion Pro only offers a 52.5 Think I may have to order 1100 cables to get what I want. While I had the throttle grip apart I removed the Pull cable and gave that a good lube job. Went to clean out the gas tank and it is bad shape. Between the slimy crud growing and the Red Kote failing it will have to come out of the bike. I took a minute and looked at the 77 parts bike I have and the tank on that is very nice. A good rinse is about all it should need so she will donating that to the Fulmer bike. That will have to wait until after the Tennessee run. Have other priorities this week.

Worked on the trailer for the upcoming trip. Had it hanging up in the rafters. Got to quit doing that. Too tricky to get it down alone. Anyway got it down safely and assembled. I did bearings last time I used it so fingers crossed they should be good. Lights mostly work but dang cheap wiring so Tomorrow there will be some solder work inside the light assemblies to increase reliability. Took the 75 for a 100 mile run. She is ready to sell. Zero backfiring and settling down to a steady idle when off the throttle. Pulled the plugs and they look better. Not exactly brown but certainly not white like before. Very happy to have it running well. It sure likes making noise at 80-90 mph!! Played with a couple hot rods out on 58 but I think they were scared

Fixed up the lights for the trailer. The cheap light assemblies just had the wires crammed between the copper strips and the plastic housing causing intermittent contact. A couple drops of solder on each one remedied that. Wifey had the day off so we took a quick run on the big bike to find the Hospital for tomorrows Colonoscopy procedure. I swear there must be 15 or 20 Hospitals in this area. I had never even seen this one before. The rest of today I will be drinking the prep, so you know what I will be doing. Can no longer say I am full of "it" ;) ;) ;) ;) :IDTS: :IDTS: :IDTS: :IDTS:

Mine came with a Chevy SBC crate motor. They were in the exhaust ports. You can probably go to a local auto shop and see if they have kept any. BTW they also fit in the GW exhaust ports.
