Dude! I just checked this build. Looks like you live just a few miles from where I grew up. Bridgeville isn't far from my neighborhood of Oakwood. It's near Noblestown Road & Durbin St. 15205.
Next time I'm in Pgh, I'll look you up.

My hat is off to you - very impressive work from start to finish. As restorers, we all have a few "specialty" skills, but you seem to have mastered every one that's needed to do a job like this. Now THAT is impressive! Thanks for taking us along for the ride.

OK, time for an update on the Wing...
Got it running in May...
Not bashing anyone or anything, but just telling it like it is...
I had purchased a C5 Ignition system for the wing, and 1 for my CB750...
I had purchased a Motogadjet M-unit for the wing, as well as my CB750, and also for my 2000 Wing.
The C5 unit for the build was bought awhile ago as I always try to get all my parts well in advance.
So... a few hundred miles later...
The ignition unit DIES. A long "chat" with both Pail, and the C5 people, and they keep insisting I wired it wrong because the units NEVER go bad. So after finally convincing them that the unit was indeed junk, they offered me a deal on a replacement part... AT FULL retail. Nice guys! So anyway, I modified the one from the 750, and it is still working.
Then the following month, the headlights and turn signals started randomly blinking... turns out the M-Unit dies as well.
They also offered me a deal... HAHA... So I pulled the one off the 750 as well...
At this point I was so disgusted I went and ordered a Harley Low Rider...
So, here it is, 3 months later and the Red Wing is running as good as it was the beginning of May.
I'll say this... as much as the new computerized components sound, I'll stick to the old method of things!
and... My 2019 Harley Low Rider is running perfect... except waiting to toss in the tune but not wanting to void the warranty just yet!!!

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. The unfortunate issue is that electronics are here to stay and vehicles are getting more and more complicated because of this, and sometimes it is the only option available to us. Had a '65 Plymouth Fury years back, and mentioned to my Father that I would like to put in an aftermarket electronic ignition. He asked why and mentioned that with the old points/condenser setup I could always jury rig and get home, not so with an electronic ignition.

As for warranty and such, car/motorcycle dealerships are bad as well, none want to part with a dime. Many posts about good ones, but there are similar numbers for less than stellar ones.

It is good that you have the bike(s) up and riding again. I enjoyed following your build.
