You know you have to completely flush the old fluid out to do this right? Best way to do it is to rebuild everything.Track T 2411 wrote:snip...….. I plan on switching to DOT 5 brake fluid, which should help.

Yes, I know, thanks. Everything's being rebuilt and new lines installed. Do it right, do it once...robin1731 wrote:You know you have to completely flush the old fluid out to do this right? I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling with the "gumption gremlins." I got the shop half cleaned out, and in the process located so many unfinished projects (some already started and dropped due to pressing matters) that it's still not cleaned the way I would like it to be.Track T 2411 wrote:I've been fighting the 'gumption gremlins' this past week, so it's been slow going. I have so many 'need to do' projects that I don't know where to start, and the basement workshop looks like a tornado struck because I keep having to dig out these tools or those supplies. The whole place just needs a major 'purge!'
Back to the important stuff! I'm not really satisfied with how the brake calipers are (not) cleaning up, and I need to buy a longer air hose to use my soda blaster on them. I have everything I need to rebuild the rear shocks except for a clear workspace. The same goes for the front forks, except I haven't removed them yet as my storage unit workspace is limited, and I don't want to have the fairing and associated parts floating around unprotected for too long. I truly hate having to go through twelve unrelated tasks to get to the one I really want to be doing!
