a chance to ride in Japan
took a week to visit my kids in Japan. My eldest son & wife planned an awesome adventure
for my wife and I with bullet trains, hostels, shrines, restaurants, bicycles and motorcycles.
Did I say Motorcycle? In JAPAN ?!?!
We went to a shop that specializes in premium quality rentals. I got a fresh CB1100 and they
a beautiful 400 4 cyl. We will be riding in a country where its citizens are encouraged (read taxed) to ride 250cc and under. The shop had/did everything 1st class. (here I'm signing off on condition and function of the bike) always take pictures of your wife & kids.... Getting on the road. This is the different side of the road for me. I think I'll follow... Get out of the city for early lunch. Mnt. Fuji in backround. more...

Re: a chance to ride in Japan
We still have time... Let's go for two.
A nice hours ride and looky what we found! we didn't know what to expect, but the Suzuki museum
was awesome. 3 floors with a 3D theater, interactive paint, casting, plastic molding,
and assembly exhibits. And of course Motorcycles !! Of course I got about a zillion more, but you get the idea.
We wound up riding about an hour in the dark and cold to get back, but
hot tea and a great local restaurant put the cap on a perfect day

ALL WE WANT TO DO IS DRINK OUR ESPRESSO, RIDE OUR MACHINES, AND NOT BE HASSLED BY THE MAN
Owning a motorcycle is not a matter of life or death. It's much more important than that.

Re: a chance to ride in Japan
Cool cool stuff. I'm a fan of Anime (Japanese animation), and a semi-common trope is riding a motorcycle along a coast road during a sunset. Always something I've wanted to do (but will probably have to settle for something the US).
Wickedly awesome stuff, but I would be lying if I said I'm not holding my breath for a Honda plant museum tour....

Totally cool. Especially the Marlboro Yamaha race bikes. I'm really jealous.

Enjoy. Feel the ground shake yet???
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.
