solex 30 carb setup

#1

Post by tedwinger »

Hi, I know there is alot of info out there on single carb conversions but I have exhausted myself on the net trying to answer a very simple question. What size jets are needed to make a new solex 30 carburetor idle properly on a gl1000? Please let me know as I don't want this summer to tick away before finishing this project.

Thanks, Tedwinger

I have a 125 main jet and a 50 idle jet. The air mixture screw is out about 1.5 - 2 turns. Idle is ~ 1200 - 1400 rpm. I have a 78 GL1000.
FAIR is the only four letter "F" word I know.
