Had too much time on my hands so . . . .

I found another project. Fixing the Valk and redoing the interior of the Caddy just was not enough. I did not get another wing, but I did pick up a sister from the same family. I bought a 1970 Honda CT90. It does something that no other project I have tackled does: it runs! It is mostly there, mostly original and in decent shape, and yes I plan to strip it to the bone. I think it will be a fun project. I'll post pics when I get it home tomorrow. Happy New Year all! ernie

I picked up the 90 today. I'm pretty happy with my purchase so far. It has a title. It runs. It shifts into all 4 gears. I did not try the Low gears. I did a compression check and got 130. All lights work. Let the fun begin! I am planning on restoring this bike for my daughter. She lives in Boulder Colorado and does not own a car. She says she doesn't like the footprint of a car but would be cool with a scooter. She just got engaged so I would like to do a complete resto and give it to her for a wedding present. I am going to try to keep this a secret. For the first time I bought a project that will need a paint job. I think I will powder coat the metal parts in aqua and paint the plastics black. I have always liked that combo, and I think it will give it a cool retro look. Here is what I am starting with:

Definitely a cutie. :-)

But the dog appears to know that you'll be spending less time with him/her.

Cool find. And yes, the dog definitely knows that something is up.

Actually she gets more "Loving" when I'm out in the garage working on a project. She is never more than a few feet from the action!

He is redoing it for his daughter. ;)

Yes, it would be nice to get around on at vintage days. Looks like a fairly easy restore too. I like the color combo you're thinking of too.
