The New Intake Prototype

#1

Post by D'sWing »

Hey guy's I am back at it again. This my new Idea. Single Solex 34 PICT Carb conversion. The intake has a engine coolant tank made around the throat and around the intake tubes. Hopefully this idea may solve the icing problem. One thing that I didnt think about is the ease of installation and removal OOPS. But if I remove the coolant tubes on top of the motor she goes right in.

Just wanted to share it with you guys

I went with the VW carb because 1 I have a bunch of them from my VW projects and there very easy to tune and figured since the VW air cooled engine is a boxer style just like the GLs I figured it should work fine. Not only that, I used the same carb on my last one and it worked pretty good. At least with the 1000 model I can ajust the timming accordingly
