Can I upload and attach a short video (10 secs or so) to a post, or is it limited to photos, only?
update: I just got a formal notice that my file exceeded the 20MB attachment limits.

Re: Maybe I'll call it Threedom?
Today, I located the 4 side covers that i'd placed somewhere in my building 6+ years ago. Surprisingly, they are none the worse looking since they went into hibernation. Electric Blue.
The trike is progressively looking better. anyway....
Although I know lugging the engine is frowned upon, and I really can't help it in my yard, I'm amazed how willing and capable of doing just that the engine is. It pulls like a silk smooth train when I take a short 100' sprint on the road in front of my house.
The CB900 Custom was a good trike.
This GL has the makings of a great trike.

Re: Maybe I'll call it Threedom?
Thank you gearhead! I appreciate your words.
This morning my youngest son pushed the project into my building with the front end facing out now. Now, I'll tackle the front end repairs. Rebuild the sticking calipers, replace the leaking fork seals, and a new set of EBC pads. (I bought all these parts on-line from Western Honda at least a month ago.)
Almost forgot
a new tire, too. Wheel bearings will also, most likely, be replaced while it's all apart.
AND keeping in mind that most persons, past and present, ask about rear fenders, I had a "moment" yesterday. My intent for installing anything of the sort is just for a mounting surface for marker lighting, to define the trike's rear width to would be," I didn't see you!" nit-wits.
Being that I'm not using the hard side cases, part of them may serve duty for fenders?

Actually I wonder if you could mount the entire hard case inboard of those rear tires.

Ooh Dean, that seems like a very good idea. It would just be an issue of clearing the axle.

I can't visualize what you're proposing, Dean.Sagebrush wrote:Actually I wonder if you could mount the entire hard case inboard of those rear tires.
Would the placement of both, entire hard cases mounted inboard of the tires, be in addition to mini-fenders over the tires?

Re: Maybe I'll call it Threedom?
That's the way I envision it. It would give you storage and fill in a lot of empty space, that's of course if you have enough room to fit them between the body of the bike and the wheel. We have a local store here that sells components for making trailers, axles, wheels, hitches etc. They also sell various sizes of unpainted metal fenders. I bet one could work for you.Would the placement of both, entire hard cases mounted inboard of the tires, be in addition to mini-fenders over the tires?

I like Dean's cool idea for the bags. You might even be able to combine the tops of the bags with the fenders.

Re: Maybe I'll call it Threedom?
Today, I disassembled the front end to rebuild both calipers; which I found are in remarkably good condition.
To finish the front end work, I'll replace the fork seals, and have a new front tire installed. The wheel bearings seem to be in great shape.
With having seen both caliper's pistons weren't sticking, I reckon the master cylinder's lever was so stiff because the "spooge hole" may be plugged? But, I also found the master cylinder's piston isn't retracting after the brake lever has been squeezed normally to pump the calipers' pistons out of their bores, then released. Looks as though I shoulda known better and ordered master cylinder parts, too.To finish the front end work, I'll replace the fork seals, and have a new front tire installed. The wheel bearings seem to be in great shape.
