1200 standard parts

#1

Post by brokewings »

hi guys,
i am the new member, my name is brent. i have a 84 gl 1200 standard, black.

i need the plastic piece that covers the radiator cap section below the faux tank. if anyone can help i would appreciate it.

i live in louisiana, and i have a lot of gl 1000, gl 1100 and gl 1200 parts.

i like to trade for the parts i need and i will also sell parts to whoever needs them.

let me know if you are in need of anything.

great board, great site, the first one i have seen for goldwing standards.

btw, i had the cycle innovations carb setup on my 75 gl 1000, it was very nice, and the bike had lots of power.

they also make a setup for the gl 1200, but it's pricey.

thanks,
brent

I to have lots of secondhand 1100 parts for sale in the UK and can normally trade when I need something.
I found something out the other day that may be of interest to standard 1200 owners. You may or may not be aware that the exhuast sytem for this model is different to the normal 1200. The end of the mufflers is round instead of oval.
I tried to obtain one for a friend from a contact I have in the states and they are no longer available from Honda. The Aspecade and Interstate ones fit OK, but some owners like to keep their bikes standard.
If you standard exhaust is in good condition, it might be an idea to obtain a different system and keep the standard one for shows etc.

They say WHY?, I say why not.
If God had intended motor cycles to be standard, he would'nt have given us the hacksaw.
