Thanks to Smitty I think I've found the carb kits for the CI holleys.
Let me know what you think. I think I'm on the right track.
Turns out the carb is from '62 and on ford econoline or falcon or comets with the 6cyl 144 ci engine. The changes that Holley made for CI are mostly the throttle shaft and wheel and other external parts. The guts should be the same. Here's a picture of that carb. Look familiar?
I went to NAPA and bought this kit #2-5743. It was about $24. It's got everything you need and don't need to rebuild one of these carbs.

Thanks for the post, this should help a lot of CI owners to keep there carbs in tune, Make another post after you use the kit and let use know how it turns out.
Well as it happens I just got off the phone with my buddy who knows carbs/rebuilds. He's who I had do it for me.
He says it went well with that kit.
Haven't installed yet but stay tuned same time same bat channel.

A little more Holley information....
The model 1940 carb came in two bore sizes
Smaller is 160cfm
Larger is 180cfm.
They are all very dumbed down having only one jet. It's a standard holley jet.
The part number should be 122-(jet size) so a .050"diameter jet is a 122-50
My sticky part is this. The jet in my holley says it's a #53 but it's way bigger and the bore of the jet is messy lookin' like someone drilled it ugly.
DOES ANYONE KNOW THEIR JET SIZE?????
Since I bought this setup used I don't trust the number stamped on the jet to be correct. (Someone was obviously looking for a bigger jet size one way or another)
Based on some calculations of jet sizes vs. engine cu.in. displacement on other engines this carb came on I'd say the jet doesn't need to be bigger than .040"dia.
But I'd love for someone to tell me the jet size on thier Holley.
