If that's everyone and correct, I'll upload to the run folder? Speaking of which, where's all the photos? Surely more than 2 were taken?

I think that is all correct now. Old Fogey and Cyborg were MIA. I know Oldewing has bunches of pics on his PC but he probably just has not had the time to get them uploaded yet.

Yeah, guess I was MIA as well. Thought I might make it, but was handed a honey-do Monday that took all week. Especially after my un-paid hired help fell off first thing Wednesday morning and I had to finish with no help. Too bad my photo-chop abilities suck.Whiskerfish wrote:Old Fogey and Cyborg were MIA.

I was thinking the same thing last weekend as I hammered together 2X8s for the flower bed.

Re: East Coast Mini Rally at Mid Ohio 9-11 July
Well, that was some weekend!
Cyborg and I left rather later on Thursday than we intended, around 10am and headed north in high hopes and higher temperatures! We had a uneventful but very hot run all the way up to Cincinnati but as we went though there to get onto the 71 there had been an accident which caused the road to be shut down. We got stuck in an underpass in over 100 degrees for a long time until we were able to get off to find an alternative route. Having got directions for this, I had a 5mph flip over on turning which dug a hole in my wrist, bashed up my leg and damaged the other wrist too, as well as putting a few scratches on WF's 75 (so sorry Steve!).
Once we managed to get going again, we ran into torrential thunderstorms about 50 miles south of Columbus; it was like watching speed boat racing, you simply could not see where you were going. So we waited under bridges until it eased, went on 'till we caught up with it again, more waiting in rest areas totally soaked through. This went on until we decided to abandon all hope of getting to the BBQ and stopped at the first motel we came too. By this time it was almost midnight.
Following morning, sun shining, we set off in the dry clothes we brought, only to get caught again by the rain! Stopped for a couple of hours only about 5 miles from the track, decided we couldn't get any wetter and so got going, only to meet sunshine about a mile down the road which continued for the rest of our time there. Got there about 10am.
Not bad; 24 hours to do a run of about 7 hours!!
Great to meet all the old friends from last year and a whole lot of new ones who dropped in over the weekend. All credit to the guys who got everything up and ready on the sites while we were faffing about in the rain!
Spent the rest of Friday wandering round the swap meet looking at bikes I hadn't seen for years and some I had never seen at all
That evening we were billeted at Oldewing's house where we finally got out of the wet boots etc and with Greg's great hospitality got all the our gear washed and dried.
Our huge gratitude goes to Greg and his family for all they did for all of us over the weekend.
Another great, hot, sunny day on Saturday made the previous nightmare recede and we had a great time answering interesting questions especially as we had Cyborg (bike) sitting in the stand, and a better time answering the stupid ones
Unfortunately Cyborg and I had to head back on Sunday due to that four letter word - work, but we had an really great run all the way down to Lenoir City; fabulous weather, if a bit hot, and light traffic all the way apart from a few miles through Cincinnati. Including frequent drinks stops we did it just under 8 hours.

I'll third that!
And thanks to WF for the great stay @ Hotel 'Canvas'! I had the master suite.
It was a great adventure and great meeting so many members. I'll post pictures when I get home and shrink them.

I finally got the rest of my pics uploaded to the run gallery. Click here to check 'em out.
BTW, any member can go into that run album and create a sub-album to upload their pics into. I'll be locking it down after everyone is finished.

I was there (Mid-Ohio) on Friday. Didn't stick around for any pics though. Forgot alwing was gonna be there. I did see a few wing parts and some complete bikes. A couple in pretty good shape.
