There are plenty of 77's in the CWC! We were looking for stock as well as custom interpertations. I did a bike for one of our members last year,a cirrus blue '77 that was an absolute jewel cosmetically,I did the mechanical end of it,but I don't know if he will be there both days.

I am planning on attending the Mid Ohio. I have never been there. Will the NGW members be showing their bikes or just getting together at the rally?

This will be my first event with the club as well, so it sure would be nice to have a "meet and greet" somewhere. Any suggestions?

Fred, are you coming with Terry? If so,I was going to suggest meeting at the Classic Wing Club tent, which is located next to the infield. The show changed drastically last year. I asked NGW members to meet at the AMA tent. Last year, they had 3 different ones! What I am going to do this year is post my cell# if anyone gets lost,as well as to find a layout of the track and post it with the location of the CWC tent. Keep looking on this thread for more details.

Sorry to dissapoint you,Fred...This is my only '77! It will be restored soon, but not in time for Mid-Ohio. It came in a package deal w/a 1980 Interstate that I really didn't want, but it looked good,so I bought the pair. The build is under Members' restorations and projects under 1980 Interstate build.

I plan to travel with Terry, so the CWC area is fine. The cell phone idea will work if needed, Terry already has mine.

But hey, it still has a rear grab handle, so it is not all bad. Sometimes it is nice to use up your stored parts on a stripped bike. So that may very well be a fun project!

Got a few of those lying around! I want to get all of the parts I want ahead of time, got a couple of feelers out on some '77 Cirrus blue panels, and I thing I will have a seat swap w/Terry along the way soon. As far as mech. things go,the bike does start and run...Badly,so carbs and belts will be addressed as well as a possible water pump.
The way the snow is melting,I may be able to get my trailer out of the backyard and bring one home to work on soon!

I agree that alwing looks pretty slim by museum standards, so we should all be on the look out for him. My 1977 parts bike would just be another project if stashed in his shed. I need to get this thread bumped to page 6 as my crackberry cannot render page 5 due to the very large pictures posted above. We like the detail of large photos, but 640x480 is often plenty of resolution and then those of us addicted to a crackberry can still render the page.
