Carburetor Rack Removal/Installation

#1

Post by mmstingray »

I installed my new rack of carbs over the weekend.

I gotta ask...

I see on the forum that members talk about removing the carbs and reinstallling them to check floats, etc., and I'm wondering how you do it with such apparent ease. I had a helluva time taking them out and putting them back in, and I tried every way imaginable. The only way I could get them out and install them was by removing the air cutoff valve. :-?

Yep that is the normal way to do it. It is easy to reinstall once the carbs are back in the frame but a major PITA if it is on the rack. I am not sure it can be done with it installed?
