78 shakes bad when front break applied

#1

Post by TC »

worked in cold garage for 3 months to get bike on road.Took her out for first ride and almost dumped her going into first corner.Bike was smooth until I hit the front brake. Brought her back into shop and pulled off calips and dialed in discs to find warp in both. Discs show signs of deeper cuts from pads in some areas.Discs do not show signs of impact.Could this have been caused by heat. What next? Can discs be machined? Will other discs fit

I Am Willing To Bet That Because His Subject Is "78 shakes bad when front break applied" It's More Than Likely A 78 And Further More A GL1000.... tease

Yes Heat Warpage Can Happen, No You Do Not Want To Turn Thaem If There Warped, Garbage.... As For Others, Honda 750 DOHC With Dual Front Breaks Are The Same, If Your Hub Is A 6 Bolt Then All 75-79 6 Bolt GL Rotors Will Fit It, If It Is A 5 Bolt Hub Then The 80 -82 GL Will Fit It.... Hope That Helps...
