Does anyone know the size of a shifter for a 1982 GL1100. mine was replaced by the previous owner. for a heal toe shifter, and i would like to put the peggs back on. or does anyone know of alternative bike to use.

I see shifters for 1100s come up on EBay all the time. Also, give Cyclepsyhco a call. He probably has some. http://www.cyclepsycho.com/

I think they are interchangable with the 1000's, after looking at them side by side it looks to me that the only difference is that the 1100 shifter looks thicker/wider . I'll try the 1100 shifter on an 1000 engine if they are different and will not fit I'll repost and tell you or pm you. 8)

Yes I was thinking about putting forward controls on and was looking for a straight shifter to cut down, I was wondering if a 750 would fit?

All of Honda's shifter shafts are the same size, so any shifter you like will fit the shaft. The bend and length are things that need considering. The GLs have an extra item to consider, it is clearance between the exhaust pipe and head.
