How to open a Top Shelter on a 75-77 witout the keys.
Remove the seat. Remove the small colored trim piece at the back of the shelter
Using a long skinny straight slot or something similar find the gap at the back of the shelter frame. Insert your screwdriver there.
Gently slide the screwdriver over aginst the spring on the right hand side of the lock mechanism. Once you feel the spring then push the tip of the screwdriver down. It should not take much effort. Applying a bit of pressure to the top in the direction of opening may help.
She should pop right open!!

Major props for this one, Whiskerfish! My lock just fell apart as the whole barrel came out with my key. I searched the forum, and 5 minutes later I have a workaround. Thanks!

Boss, this will be easier to find as a reference if the title is fixed to Shelter not Sheter.
