FOR SURE!! That assembly is awful!! The plan is to bob the fender and I have 2 bullet style rear lights that will function as tail/brake/turning lights. I fell in love with the way that Harley has license plate holders that mount on the side off the frame. I initially got the dyna model but needed the sportster model. They had to order it so I'm waiting on that. I also received some really nice crash bars from bugsdaddy that will be mounted. The engine will look beefy and mean!

And when I'm done with all of that I'm going to ride it up to you so you can install a one off carb set up. Money is a little tight so you're going to have to purchase everything needed. I will help you buy drinking beer and smoking cigarettes and annoying you while I watch you work. I'm just glad that I don't have to find a place to sleep since I know for a fact that there is a really cute wagon somewhere on your property. If you could pitch in for gas too that would be great. anim-cheers1

@Fred, thank you very much man! I really appreciate the comments and the feedback.

@transitman, thank you for the compliments! The only advice I can give you on that is this.. The way that I get my ideas is by looking at a lot of models (ALL types of bikes) and when I see something that I like I envision it on mine and then change it to make it my own. A lot of people dump tons of money into making their cars fancy. I think a car is just a tool for carrying stuff, not my identity or personality. My bikes are the true extension of me. I am proud of what I have accomplished with this bike and am excited to see how she will evolve from here.

It's a long haul from St. Tony to Detroit just to throw away carbs and have a beer. The Shasta is pretty cute...but it ain't cheap.

I don't have an issue with that. With shaving all the foam, adding his own foam where needed, cutting the pan and covering with excellent material he quoted me $350. I needed it faster than what he said (it was over Thanksgiving week) so I gave him a performance bonus that will stay between him and me. :) I know that I could get a brand new Corbin or something like it for about the same price but I like to deal with the little guy first and if all possible.

I'm glad everyone enjoys it. It took me a little while to get used to it but I totally dig it now.

There are certain large pieces that give a bike its "personality". The saddle is high on the list (pipes and paint are there too) so putting money into those things always seems like money well spent.

Provided you like what ya got.
