Sorry, I went through my receipts (2 inch thick folder) and didn't see it. They were not expensive, however, and I found them on a bike website. I liked the color and the size was almost what I wanted (a bit too long).olivierboucher wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 11:25 am Hi !

Thanks - labor of love. Hoping to post some pics of the new paint job this spring when it's completed.

Re: '82 Cafe Racer Build - GL1100 born naked and will be again
Hello all,
Just did a minor upgrade, including the following:
- new plugs, but old ones looked ok and gap was fine;
- new gaskets on the cooling tubes;
- new gaskets on the carbs where they seat on the engine (#3 was hissing, losing pressure);
- all fluids changed;
- got rid of the oil dipstick on the front (I check the window/change my oil regularly, and it didn't make it go faster);
- new Metzler shoes, 888s Ultras - went down a size on front. Now running 120/80-17, down from 120/90-17. Still have 140/90-B16 on rear;
- painted rear rim to match the front;
- added some more blue on the shelter and side panels and got rid of the badges (if you know, you know);
- new water pump housing and new gasket (old housing was cracked where the flush nut went in - found one on ebay)
- added front fender from Sane Motion Moto;
- new brake fluid in both brakes;
- new clutch fluid;
- added Yamaha R1 front fender parts to go with the new fender;
- new headlight;
- new gas/reserve tank valve;
- new gas filter;
- main drive clean out and new fluids, and;
- sanded/painted the exhaust system and ditched the wrap.
Greased and torqued everything to the number (Yamaha and Honda).
Thought I'd share some pics. Safe travels all.
