Yes, I would think a thread called Triple tree fork mods would be cool.

i'm going to just add a few intermodel wheel swaps 'possible mods required' (within the wing line)

haven't got to my 82 yet though can confirm that 1100 interstate discs bolt on to a 84 16" front wheel that has been modded to an 83 1100 front

so stock 18" to (1200) 16" front wheel for 83 1100

i was mulling over including brakes with the front end thread, but no doubt it could be a topic in itself

rear end swingarm pumpkin/diff wheel swaps

1100 swingarm to 1000 is out there

1200 to 1100
http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/2430585-post21.html
I am using the 84 swing arm, rear drive and wheel, axle assy, and the brake support, and shocks (for now as they are 1" longer - 13 1/2" as oppesed to the 12 1/2" on the 82),. keeping the caliper from the 82. I had to make another spacer to go in between the caliper support and the swing arm. I didn't measure it as there is quite a bit of leeway in the axle end. Not a lot of clearance between the tire and the gas tank, bit looks to be ok.
1500 wheel/diff into a 1200 swingarm scenarios

To install a 1500 final drive into a 1200
To install the 1500 final / wheel with bigger double row bearing / and larger brake

Is there a companion thread to this one that covers the interchangeability of wheels between different model years? I'd like to know for instance, is it possible to run the 1983 cast wheels on a 1977 GL1000. Or is it possible to run the 1977 laced wheels on a later model.

Basically, without serious modifying, the rear wheels from GL1000 and GL1100 are not interchangeable. The front wheels can be interchanged, however it requires shimming and brake system mods to do so.

1100 swingarm in 1000 frames has been done as well as 1200 swingarm in 1100 frame

forget the details now as far as diffs goes, but the 1200 swingarm allows either a 1200 wheel combo or 1500

spoking comstar wheels has been done

pretty sure there is also a 1200 wheel/diff combo mod in a 1000 swingarm

there are front end swaps 1200 -> 1100 -> 1000, some bolt on, another needs small mods

prob another thread with all the possible combos and what you are after exactly
