I wondered about this. Mine were somewhat polished when I first got the bike and have dulled over time. I cleaned regularly but not with motorcycle polish. I suppose I could hit it with mothers aluminum polish and it would come back.

Yes, mothers aluminum polish and a powerball works great.

There is a polished final drive on ebay for $385,so I would say that Richard's prices are very reasonable.

A quick note to folks who have parts in for polishing. About a week ago, one of the guys who works with me allowed the polished to fall over. How he did this I will never know. This resulted in breaking the case and screwing up a bearing. New parts have been ordered for the buffer, and will arrive mid week, at which time we will be working double time to get your polish orders out. Sorry for the delay.

I tel ya Robin he is the hardest working guy I ever met. BUT, he is always hurting himself. Cuts, muscle pulls, yada yada. Drives me nuts and I don't know how to train him to quit doing that.

Please note that we have recently had a few folks send us parts to polish that were previously chromed. Chromed parts that have begun to flake CANNOT be repaired or polished. The chrome must be removed completely, prior to any polishing. We do not have de-chroming equipment or chemicals. We support polishing rather than chroming parts for this very reason. Any parts sent to us that are chromed will be returned and return shipping will be the responsibility of the customer, sorry.

Hi gang, I am pleased to announce we have the polisher up and running and are turning out parts quickly. I added a second buffer to insure we never backlog again. Thanks for your support.. and.. shine on!

I coated all my goodies with a gun care product called RIG; it stands for RUST INHIBITING GREASE. Where I couldn't get to around bolts and such I used REMINGTON GUN OIL (REMOIL) in a spray can. The bike has had the 'sweats' 3 or 4 times this winter so far due to unseasonably warm air moving into our area from down south - no sign of any of the usual pock marks and other nasties on my shiny prettys courtesy of Bradshaw Bikes. . When it warms up I will wipe it down with solvent and be ready to scoot for 2013.

I am often asked how to protect polished parts after buffing. I have found this product to be excellent. Probably last the life of the product.
