My Goldwing turned into . . .

#1

Post by delling3 »

So, as some of you are aware, I made a difficult decision to sell my 'Wing. I simply wasn't riding the bike enough to justify keeping it, and that combined with my wife's encouragement, I decided to sell it to buy something to replace it's spot in the garage.

It's a '96, all stock, original paint. It's a California car, never seen snow or road salt (it won't as long as I own it either). Very clean, runs great, 94K miles on the odometer. I bought her from the original owner, with a full service history.

I may not be a Gold Wing owner anymore, but I hope I can still lurk about - still love 'em, even if I am not riding one.

Nice! We had a white 97 GT covert for a few years. What transmission do you have in it? Ours was an auto, that had an odd slip to it unless you were giving it the beans.

It's an auto. I test drove a couple of manual tranny cars - generally I prefer to do my own shifting - but I found that the Mustang clutch has an unusually high engagement on the pedal - and with my long legs (I am 6'3), the steering wheel would interfere with my thigh when shifting. I had originally thought it was something wrong with the clutch, but since found out that it's a peculiarity to the model. Fortunately, my slushbox is shifting just fine.
