Yes it has. It was bought new in 1960 By a local construction company to build a section of state highway through two small cities near me. They used it for road construction until about 1995. It then sat out in a field for about 12 years. It was offered to me by the owner if I would just make it disappear. After two months of soaking with MM oil and diesel fuel, I finally got the engine to move. Fired up, spit rust, sparks and fuel out the exhaust for a while and then smoothed up. I ran it until about 2 years ago when one of the cylinder sleeves started pouring coolant into the crankcase. I used it a lot though to pull stumps, built a long lift arm on the back to pull engines. I have moved a couple of house trailers up and down the road I live on. Pulled a large root rake cleaning up my property. I hated to see it die as it has been a lot of help to me. I might even fix it one day if I get time-haha. It's on that long list of things to do.

Great story! Had a 730 diesel comfort King growing up, and learned to love the old Cases!

Sadly, I am not quite sure what model that one you have is, being my knowledge is more in two cylinder John Deere’s.

This one is a 930 Standard. I'm thinking it was an industrial tractor as it never had a 3-point hitch. Had a 401 cid diesel engine with a 6-speed transmission with hand clutch. It weighs about 9000 lbs and some big ole fat tires. Here in this Florida sand, if I tied onto a stump it couldn't pull, those tires would spin and dig all the way down to the axle with no slowing down. That big six cylinder had some kind of torque. I'm just not sure I want to spend 5 or 6 grand to go through the engine. How do you like my homemade muffler from an old aluminum propane tank-looks pretty rough but it worked real good.

They did have some torque! I wondered about the muffler...ingenuity at its finest!

Sometimes you just have to build it. I like it. What engine is that? I am building a "stupid" go-cart with a Chevy 2.8l v6 on an old Jeep CJ frame.

My neighbor's tractor that he learned to drive as a child. It's a Ferguson TO 20 that he overhauled 30 years ago. It's been sitting in a barn for the past 20 years so it will need a complete once over. He has no interest in it and will give it to me. He's 72 years old. I plan on making this a project for the both of us to get her operational again.

Allis Chalmers CA: This is the tractor I learned to drive on. I cut many many acres of grass with this when I was younger. She has sat under cover for 12-15 years with no fuel in it. This is a future restoration project.

Allis Chalmers WC Road Patrol: My father drug this home when I was a kid. He got it running and used it to maintain his 1/4 mile rock lane. I'm sure with a fresh battery and fuel, she'll fire right up. I don't have a need for it at the moment. If we ever move to the country, it would come in handy

My great grandfather's Allis Chalmers WD. My Grandfather drove this out to my dad's house when I was a child. My dad spent a lot of time restoring her to her former glory. She sits inside a climate controlled garage and fires on the first tug of the starter. It was used to pull a box blade, wagon, etc. up until my dad's passing a year and a half ago.

My dad's Case CK backhoe. He purchased this to play in the dirt. He hardly used it. It has been sitting for 2 years. I need to spend some time with it to get her running with fresh fuel, cleaned points, etc. It's a gas burner, not a diesel.

Early 80's Case Garden Tractor. My dad bought this brand new. The Kohler was overhauled once in it's life. This was our primary method of cutting 5 acres of grass years ago plus it ran a hydraulic log splitter during the winter months. It was a real work horse. Not sure if it's worth working on now. This has been sitting for many many years.

Not picture-worthy, but I have a 1980 JD 216 set up with the 31" belt-drive tiller and a 1995 JD 345 with 54" mower deck for the weekly chore on our anything-but-flat ~3 acres, and front blade for winter drive clearing. Did a minor rebuild on the 216 in the early '90s when the governor disintegrated and broke a piston skirt. Put a new carb on it this year. Replaced the plastic cam gear on the 345 right after I brought it home with ~450 hours. My aunt & cousins had an ag/full line JD dealership from '40s through '90s.

Ok I want in on this action... red one borrowed from work for ‘testing’ purposes. Gray one was on my farm in KS, the lots of red ones are from a factory visit to India. Love tractors...!

Tractors are like motorcycles, except that the tractors make acreage management quicker so a guy can ride motorcycles. That's why my tractors run (except for the IH 1450 sprayer tractor) and my motorcycles are in repair stages (except for the one that I ride regularly V11ev Guzzi)
Hinomoto E14d Diesel that I bought non running with frozen front drive axles; I warmed them up, drained the water, replaced the fluids. glowplugs and the axle seals and it runs like a top.
