I never owned a car till after I got married. Before I joined the navy in 78 I had owned too many motorcycles to count. Probably 30+. I would buy stuff other kids had worked on and screwed up for cheap and fix them and then sell them. For cars Mom would buy a winter beater every fall and the big Olds station wagon would go in the garage for the winter to keep the salt off it. We all shared it whatever the Winter Bomb was. I remember a 71 Maverick, a 60's something covair and several others. Once I left home Dad "loaned" me his 75 Chevy Monza under the pretense that I would fix it up and return it. I fixed it up got drunk and totaled it. Come to find out he planned to give it to me. The first car I actually owned was a 71 Ford 4 door LTD sedan. Was a wedding gift from my older sister. It did not last long. It looked real nice but it spent too many years in the Buffalo salt and the body would shift on the frame when cornering. After that was a 71 Dodge Challenger with the inline 6. It drank oil like gas and I had no place to work on it. Traded it in 82 for a brand new Ford EXP. A fun car but not really appropriate as my Step Son quickly outgrew the back seat area. After the move to Maine in 83 we got a Toyota Tercel Station wagon and a early 70's Toyota SR5 Longbed PU as a second. Sold the Pickup before the cross country to catch a plane for Hawaii in 87. Had that Tercel a long time. Then a older toyota sedan as a second car while in Hawaii. We brought the Tercel back with us, after we returned to Virginia in 90 and then we got a 92 Ford Explorer 2 door. Rusty drove the Tercel station wagon for a work truck until she got T-Boned and then I bought a bare bones Isuzu Pickup for the Wife's work truck. Then traded the Explorer for a Toyota T-100, and bought my Wife's First Wrangler. The T-100 was eventually traded for a Tundra and the Wrangler was replaced with a new Wrangler. The Tundra was replaced with my Current 2010 Dodge Ram and the 2nd Wrangler was replaced with a Nissan Pathfinder that we just Traded last month for a new Wrangler Unlimited.

Feel like I am out of breath from trying to remember all that!!!!

I drove something like this as my first car. 1950 Dodge was gifted to me from an uncle. My friends would tease me about my $50 car hitting someones car worth thousands.

My first vehicle was a '54 Ford F-100 fresh out a local farmer's machine shed. Straight 6, three on the tree, which lasted 5 months before developing a terrible rod knock. I had big plans for that truck, and collected lots of parts, but never got to finish it. '75 Pontiac Astre (like a Chevy Vega), pulled it out of a snow drift for $75, installed a new oil pressure safety switch for $5, and put 100k more miles on it.
'64 Pontiac GTO. Flat black street fighter before flat black was 'in.' My last 'cool' car... :(

This is the car I graduated in tho . 63 Fairlane with 260 and a two speed . Yep ,still got it , still drive it . I've had that car for 30 years now , good times , we both survived :orange did some pretty mean things back in the day to it , I can tell you with absolute certainty that little small block will do a buck 0 5 and no more ! Dual exhaust and burnt out cherry bombs ,she sounds a lot faster lolol Way to many other rides to list them all ,but favorites were a 59 Ford 2 Door Ranch Wagon with a 390 and a c6 out of a 69 wagon ,69 Caddy Calias coupe , 69 Bronco pick-up .If it's got wheels , I'm in

First car was a 69 Datsun 510 Wagon, my "other" brother had wrecked it bad. I started working on it when I was just turned 15. By my 16th, it was straight, painted and on the road. Got my Drivers permit, and left for Tenn with a buddy the same day.

Not my first car, but my first car out of high school was a 1965 Chevy Impala Super Sport.

Wish I still had it today.

Mine was just like this with the same Cragar mag wheels, except it was painted a custom dark green with gold metal-flake.

Well, until my big "D" in 2008, I was still rocking a couple of nice Chevy's. These are them. The '66 Elky is the spittin' image of my 2nd car. I always missed that thing and was elated when I found this one. It was my daily driver here in AZ for six years. Had a 400SB, camel humps, mild cam and Turbo400. 3.73's in a 12 bolt. I sold it during "that time".

She got the Chevelle. Don't ask. I'm still sore over that one. The list of goodies in that one would be pretty lengthy. The '69 C10 is outside the frame...also sold. :(

What engines did you have in the B?
