First pic is the required pose in front of the Atlantic Ocean (actually the mouth of Chesapeake Bay but close enough). Hope to repeat it next week in front of the Pacific.

Safe in Fort Smith (actually Alma). 695 miles in 93 degrees. I stopped more for water breaks than gas for sure but a good day all in all. Bike ran perfect but I am still disappointed with the MPG. Have seen as low as 32 and as high as 37 but I have not been gentle.

Tomorrow is Oklahoma, Texas, and over to Santa Rosa New Mexico. GPS has that at 613 miles. Time for a shower and find some dinner

600 miles today. One thunderstorm and a whole lot of wind. Feel like I was in a 10 hour wrestling match. Safe in Santa Rosa NM. Need to study the Az weather before deciding on a plan for tomorrow

I've been following your epic adventure on a daily basis, with a pin in the giant wall map on my office wall, a glance at the weather channel, and the visions that rush thru my head when I close my eyes. You are refreshing memories for me, and making them for yourself, and others who can only dream of such a monumental journey . Be sure to stop and smell the roses along the way,... and God speed

Yeah, stringing together a bunch of 600-mile days is rough - especially if it's windy. Smelling the roses is really good advice.
