Very good trip report and I would say probably 98% accurate. I couldn't help but notice a tendency to catch Ike sleeping sitting up and not so much the others so I offer this compilation of the author.

Actually I did have Hepco Becker side bag mounts or racks. The HB bags I bought did not fit so I ordered these as a backup just in case. More "last minute" preparation. They worked quite well. Not sure how they would work with no racks though.

Touché. I forgot to mention that part of the challenge was to grow a full beard - and let it go wild. 3 of the riders manned up and rose to the challenge at least....
