I picked this up last weekend. Not too shabby but wouldn’t turn over when I went to check it out. Further inspection revealed no coolant at all so I’ll be looking into that. PO said it had been sitting for two years. Hopefully it had antifreeze in it. I’ll see. Going to get to it soon I hope. Been dealing with bits and ends on my 81. Didn’t really want another project on top of my current one but couldn’t pass it up.

Couldn’t post pics last night for some reason. I’ll have another try. First pic is the bike two years ago. Other two are after it sat for the remainder.
Edit: and I don’t know why things went sideways.

Glad it found a good home with a NGW Cartel member. Even if second on the plate, she now has hope.

Re: Next victim: 77 GL1000
Fired it up today and it ran. Not well but it’s promising. I think the water pump needs replaced and the carbs done of course. It was leaking coolant from the bottom of the water pump housing. When it runs it acts like it’s not getting fuel. Missing and it bogs down when I give it throttle. Seems to have a weak spark so might have to upgrade coils and points. But I was glad it ran at all.

sounds like a carb rebuild in your future. might get away with sea foam, but these carbs just do not like to sit
