Thank you everyone for the positive feedback on the fuel hose. Sometimes I think I'm the only person anal enough to fuss over such small details.
Here is a screenshot of the eBay seller I bought it from.
He lists it as GL1200 fuel hose. I got a 40 inch length and it was 12 dollars or thereabouts. He has a lot of items for sale but I'm sure you can find the hose relatively quickly if you look at his store. I'm using a mobile device so I'm a little hamstrung on supplying good links right now.

I bought 1/4" cord reinforced hose at NAPA yesterday. Cut to the length I requested. $1.39 a foot. Nitrile. Nice snug fit, probably would have been Ok even on the pump discharge but I put small clamps on it.

Looks great - nicely done. I'm curious about the condition of the rest of the wiring - still OEM or did the owner make mods? Thx for all the pics.

Re: 1982 Aspencade. Catching up on neglect.
I found no owner induced wiring mods anywhere on the bike beyond a bullet connector replaced by a cheap crimp on bullet connector on one of the side case wire harnesses.GW Hobo wrote:Looks great - nicely done. I did find mouse damage to the coil wiring harness and a bit of damage to the main wire harness up near the coils. That was just one wire chewed bare. I spliced in a new section of matching wire with solder and then wrapped it up to look OEM. The coil wiring harness was easier to repair since I could remove the whole coil assembly and repair the wiring on the work bench much easier. Mainly I had heavy mouse damage right where the two wires entered the ballast resistor on the coil pack. I was able to splice them with a small ball of solder right on the ballast resistor body.
I guess that little hollow behind the coil pack and in front of the air filter box made a nice snug nest for a mouse. Then of course, the pee migrated down from there to drip onto the engine. That corrosion damage was limited to the right side manifolds and right side valve cover. Both of those I had repaired earlier in the thread with polishing the manifolds and replacing the valve covers.

Re: 1982 Aspencade. Catching up on neglect.
First thing today, I got my Carb Tune opened up and used it to synch my carbs. What a fantastic tool. I have some experience with synching dual DellOrto and Weber carbs on air cooled VWs back in the day. I sure wish I had this thing back then. Money well spent.
Now I've got it running with that famous Goldwing smoothness.
Next, I wrapped my muffler baffles and installed them. That quietened the bike down to where it should be.
Then I started working on the last element of the brake system rebuild. Someone had put a janky Chinese generic master cylinder on the bike. That's not my style so I found a fellow on eBay selling a used original and made a lower offer which he accepted.
When it arrived it was in fine shape, just needing a freshen up and no heroic efforts to save it.
I had ordered the supplies from Brake Crafters at the same time as the master cylinder.
I'm currently working on the rebuild and will post the finished results in due time. Then, fork rebuild.
I did get a new shipment of essentials today. The grease is Honda silicone grease for rubber seals and orings. The dielectric is just for electrical work.
I'm running out of stuff to do to this thing. I suppose eventually I'll need to ride it or something.

Re: 1982 Aspencade. Catching up on neglect.
Finished the master cylinder rebuild today.
I like to use small ball hones to slick up the bore.
Much better than the janky Chinese adftermarket junk that was on the bike before.
Rebuilt the forks. I sprung for the OEM Honda seals and boots. I think they're a little better than the aftermarket ones.
Built a seal driving tool.
Scored a set of springs for short money. Also Harley fork caps to do away with the air fitting holes. More Honda orings for the fork caps.
Always new crush washers on everything.
Reassembled. The Harley fork caps aren't in mint condition but they sure are slicker than plugging the old air line holes in the factory caps.
And it's done.
You should be able to click the picture for a short running video.
