Has anyone refurbed the buttons on their gl1000 carb tops. Just polished my carb tops and the buttons are discolored. Wondering about painting the buttons or?

I used an ivory coloured model paint on mine and a fine paint brush and they looked much cleaner than when I started. Two year later they still look great.

I had a 77 GL 1000 that came with the Terraplane sidecar rig I bought. The PO had painted his buttons to match plastics on the bike. It looked pretty good. That motorcycle had all kinds of neat little touches. Had a lot of love in its early years. The ten or so before I got it not so much…
