New seat

#1

Post by DUGG »

Last year I replaced the stock seat with a new Saddlman seat.the Sock was in good condition as far as the cover but the foam was pretty well shot and on long trips it was uncomfortable.
While the saddleman seat was more comfortable than the old seat I was never happy with the looks. Plus the saddleman seat interfered with the operation of the trunk. So I decided to have the local shop redo the foam in the old seat and make a new cover. I asked for some red stitching and boy did I get some. At first I was a little overwhelmed by how much there was but after looking at it on the bike I really like it, now for the butt test .

Wow! I love the seat, but the entire bike looks so well put together.

Norm did a great job on the design and it does really match the overall look and style of the bike. Very slick and stylish work you have done on that bike with the modifications.
Current Bikes:

1966 CL77 - Honda 305cc - Dual purpose - "Gentleman's Scrambler" was a period moniker.
1967 CL175K0 - Low production number with #802 engine serial- winter 2019/2020 full restoration.
1972 CB350F - Baby Four with low mileage - Cosmetic refresh to the next level 2021/2022.
1978 CB550K - Very original bike with only 7499 Km. from new - light cleanup and refresh done.
1983 CB1100F - Canadian model - DOHC Supersport in pristine low kilometre condition from new.
1984 GL1200 - Standard model in showroom condition - two owner bike from new.
1984 CX650E - Restored summer 2017 - a rare Eurosport model - excellent one owner bike.
