Finally got off my butt and sanded/painted the fuel tank and stripped / painted and polished the pumpkin. Tank now back in and am anxious to start assembling the other assorted goodies. Should be ready for Canadian spring if and when it gets here.

BTW I now know why some folks equate reinstalling the fuel tank to "putting a baby back in the womb".

Hey Rodger you are so right!
Today bolted the faux tank shroud frame down along with the three gauge setup, installed the airbox, rear fender, pumpkin, new gear oil in diff, rear fender, seat etc. Half way through looked up at my parts rack and saw the drain hose from the airbox. Sort of trying to push the umbilical cord in as well. Must have taken an hour to refit that drain as well as the engine drain from the airbox. Might as well have started over again but I am stubborn. Finally got everything back in place (expletives were flying). Put the grab rail on with the Corbin gunfighter just so I have something to strap my tail bag onto. Surprisingly didn't think it looked too out of place.

At the end of the day fired her up and all was worth it. Hopefully after this weekend the rear wheel will be installed. Then what will I do?

Well my baby is near the first round completion. There are many things to do to make her a convertible. Must paint the extra set of tins in a custom colour, get a cb900 front fender etc. etc. but I am really happy with my progress so far. Thanks a huge bunch to my buddy Ian without whom I might still be struggling with a seized engine that wouldn't turn over and so on. Really looking forward to some some nice weather to let her show me what she is worth. You will note that while the bike is wearing formal attire, it is also wearing a corbin gunfighter. Signs of things to come.

Now that is sweet. You have put in a lot of work and it shows. I love how the Gunfighter seat slims down the rear end and kind of flows into the öcontour of the rear fender. Yum Yum Yum.

Thanks for the good words Liam. I am really happy with the Corbin gunfighter as well, makes her look sleek. Also pleased to read on your adventure thread that your bike arrived safe and sound, fingers crossed, no rain today while you get her unloaded.
