Hi Jonesz,
A few of the items are below, none of which I can obtain locally so online purchases are required.
The seat/tailpiece is available online and fits very well with the exception of lowering the rear fender by drilling it just above the stock mounting holes and using a separate nut/bolt on each side. This new seat also has an included 1157 bulb brake/tail light (no signal lights in that housing). There may be other places to purchase one but here is a current eBay link to the exact model:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-Gl1100-G ... 3306652283
Haven't been on the site for several days but wanted to thank CrazyJerry for the info on the seat/tailpiece. Makes your bike look complete. Also have copied the pic of your bike before putting her away for the winter it's giving me incentive to look for a 78 or 79.

Jonesz - you're welcome and if you have any questions let'em fly! This cafe racer project has also given me new energy towards my other Goldwings!! One last thing about that seat: it isn't the most comfortable seat I ever sat on, but what saves it, is the ability to move your position while riding due to it's length. If it had any type of a backrest or contour that kept the rider in one exact spot, it would be a 1 hour non-stop ride at most. For those with a little extra natural padding, the seat might be ok though.

Hey CrazyJerry wondering what color the bike was painted. I am wondering about the main color and not the accent stripe. Really like this a lot.

So this evening I pulled up ngwclub.com and there it was! What a surprise and thank you all for the positive comments as well as the inspiration. The bar is high and there are plenty of deserving bikes and builders for the bike of the month. That said I truly consider it an honor to have a work considered - let alone chosen!

Jonesz,
I don't know how I missed this post from you but the paint used for the main color is a mix of the following two colors:
-
2013 Hyundai Tucson
Garnet Red Mica
-
2006 Ford F-150 PICKUP
Dark Toreador Red Metallic
-
Neither color has particularly good coverage so the parts got a coat of black primer first, then the mixed base colors sprayed over that. 3 heavy coats of clear allowed for a good wet sand and buff afterward.
-
NAPA will mix any color paint in aerosol cans. For small jobs like these it works really well!

Great looking bike CrazyJerry! Are those rear turn signals mounted on the front frame down tubes?
