Hi guys
So the front engine cover is off (which is a good thing ) thanks to robin for sending the Allen heads bolts and the front lower engine cover we can continue with the project . Now I can get that part of the project done . As i was clean out behind the engine cover the oil looked like oatmeal and was as black as night, who ever had this poor bike they just never took care of it I have added a couple of pictures so you can see how dirty the oil is

Yowza! If you haven't reassembled it yet, I would suggest loosening up the engine mounting bolts and dropping the front of the engine down far enough ship you can remove the oil pick up screen cover and screen. This will allow easier access to the crankcase, and you can use brake cleaner spray from that opening and wash out nearly all of the accumulated oil deposits from the bottom of the engine. It will wash out the front easily. My 2 cents...

you might also put some diesel in the crankcase and let it sit to help flush it out

+1

but I like to do the 'diesel soak' treatment while it's running in the middle of an oil change (after draining & before filling with clean oil), but if she don't run yet THAT don't werk.

Hi guys and girls

So just to bring you up to date on my project , which is going well by the way . I have gotten all new O-rings from my Honda car dealership for my Goldwing at a much cheaper price than the bike dealer ( things that make you go HMM) same parts number but cheaper price. anyways I picked up a Aspencade front end for my project . It comes complete with triple trees and the slotted rotors etc. etc. etc. . pick it up for 100.00 dollars . Will keep you in the loop on how things good

I just wanted to send out a special thank you out to Peter Etwell who has been a wealth of knowledge and who has taken me under his wing and is helping me out with my wing
